Who we are

Feedimus is a Shopify app that improves the product data stores send to Google Merchant Center. Feedimus is run by Ivan Fox in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the information described here. Contact us any time at hello@feedimus.com.

Website visitors

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google when the page loads. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply.

Merchants using the app

When you install Feedimus and connect Google Merchant Center, we process:

• Store details from Shopify: your shop domain and access needed to read products and inventory, and to store generated images in your Shopify files.
• Your Google connection: your Merchant Center account ID and the access tokens Google issues when you connect.
• Product data: the products in your Merchant Center feed, including titles, descriptions, images, prices and performance data such as clicks, and the improved versions we generate.
• Settings and contact details: your app settings and the email address you give us for reports.

We use this only to provide the app: auditing your feed, generating and scoring improvements, publishing the ones you approve, and sending the reports you ask for. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or access your customers' personal information.

Google user data

Feedimus asks for access to your Google Merchant Center account (the Content API scope) so it can read your products and their status, and create a supplemental data source containing the improvements you approve. It never changes your primary feed. When you disconnect, we delete the supplemental data source and your stored Google tokens.

Feedimus's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to train general AI models, and no person reads it except where you ask us for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and only share what each needs:

• Anthropic (Claude API): product information is sent to generate and check improved text. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through the API is not used to train its models.
• Replicate: product images, when you turn on image improvements.
• Resend: your report email address, to deliver emails.
• Our hosting provider: stores the app's database.
• Shopify and Google: as the platforms you connect, under their own privacy policies.

Some providers are based outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where data leaves the UK we rely on safeguards approved under UK law, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while the app is installed. When you uninstall, we remove our supplemental feed from Merchant Center and delete your data. Shopify also sends us a deletion request 48 hours after uninstall, which wipes anything left. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@feedimus.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We use encryption in transit and limit who can access data. If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and tell installed merchants about any significant change.
